
Biography:
After an outstanding career in Avant-garde and Classical Music as a Saxophone player, in 2012 he fell in love with Renaissance and Early Baroque music: soon he began the study of the Baroque Cornetto and ornamentation with Andrea Inghisciano. Since then he has an intense concert activity in the world of Early Music. He performed at Accademia di Musica Antica di Milano, Oudemuziek – Utrecht, “Monteverdi Festival” – Cremona, Wratislavia Cantans – Breslau, Lviv Early Music Festival, Edinburgh International Festival, Music First – Kiev, Trigonale – Maria Saal, Les amis de l’orgue de Québec – Canada, Oganyplus – Gdansk, Società Aquilana dei Concerti “B. Barattelli”, Micat in Vertice/Accademia Musicale Chigiana – Siena, Festival de l’Orgue de Valère – Sion (Switzerland), Ravenna Festival, Urbino Musica Antica, Sagra Musicale Umbra, Festival rane muzike – Beograd, New Trinity Baroque – Atlanta and in the most prestigious venues such as St. Martin in the Fields – London, Teatro Regio – Torino, Teatro Olimpico – Vicenza, Vilnius Philharmonic, Theater an der Wien – Vienna, Mannheim Nationaltheater, Auditorium Haydn – Bolzano. With Nicola Lamon he is co-leader of Seicento Stravagante an ensemble devoted to promotion and performance of renaissance and early baroque music using mainly authentic historical organs: the ensemble has an intense concert activity around the world. The two artists are making a series of audio/video recordings using the most prestigious historical organs in Italy. With Seicento Stravagante, he maintains an active concert schedule, performing in Canada, Serbia, Germany, France, Switzerland, Poland, Belgium, and other countries.
He recorded for BIS, CPO, Arion, Amadeus, Brilliant Classics, Fra Bernardo, Bongiovanni, Radio Vaticana, ORF1 and Tactus.
